This simple statement is the mission of the 24- to raise money for families dealing with cancer.
We will do so by having three to four teams of paddlers present on the water for two hour shifts for a total of 24 hours from Saturday April 15th at 8 am to Sunday, April 16th at 8 am.
Why paddle? To show our solidarity and vigilence to those dealing with cancer. We will paddle in solidarity to help warriors realize that they are not alone in their battle.
Medical expenses are not the only burden a family has to be when cancer rears it's terrible head. Expenses from travel back and forth to appointments and treatments, food and lodging near speciality centers, childcare, loss of work and income; the list alone is overwhelming.
The more money we raise, the more we can give to those in our communities. One hundred percent of donations will be given to families who are fighting cancer, one envelope at a time.
