Monster and Sea 24 hour Paddle
The Monster and Sea 24 is a relay style paddle to raise money for families within our community dealing with cancer.
Our Team comprises of 6 members from across south Florida
Our goal is simple:
1. Raise some grass roots funds to help families dealing with the chaos that cancer causes.
Cancer is a taker. It wants everything from us - our health, our confidence, our families. Statistics say 1 in 3 people will arm wrestle with cancer.
But what about the other 2 people? Our job is to stand in the gap. Fill that void with love, compassion and our ability to GO when our friends can’t.
This is what the 24 is all about.
What cancer can’t touch is our spirit, our drive and our will to live every day to its fullest potential.
We are a community of people giving back in a very grass roots way, through our ability to Paddle. We are not a foundation or a charity.
Someone from our team will simply be paddling non-stop for 24 hours with the message for anyone dealing with cancer "“There is a community of people who love you and are fighting for you.”
That is exactly what our cash donations to these familes will say.
Thank you so much for your donation and for helping to spread the word.
Our goal is to offer a breath of fresh air to families dealing with cancer. It is a chance for them to feel “normal” for even just a minute.
Subscribe or simply read our campaign updates to know which families your donation will go to helping.
Please consider donating and also coming out to join in support and perhaps even paddle with us for a portion at Paddle the Florida Keys any time from 8am to 8am April 15 and 16.

The Pattersons - Tavernier Florida
This year the Patterson family lost their oldest son Joey to suicide. He was only 14. To make this tragic time even worse, Jackie is fighting her second round of breast cancer. She is tough, but they need all the love and support this community can give. We will be paddling for you!
Thank you for your donation.
Thank you all for your generosity and support. It is a tough time for us as we lost our son four months ago and this is my second bout with breast cancer. To the donors that thought this was a worthy cause. The donations you have made will make a difference in the care that I receive especially as I begin chemo this week. We appreciate the gifts bestowed on us. And to the Monster and Sea team thank you for organizing this wonderful event in the Keys and for your hard work in creating a team and for your perseverance paddling the long twenty four hours against the wind. Your generosity and dedication will never be forgotten. Love Jackie, Joe and Matt Patterson
