Miss "Momo" Needs A Ride

Monica Brewer a.k.a. "Miss Momo" has been a dearly beloved member of the Nelson Elementary and CUSD family since 1989. Her dedication to the boys and girls of Nelson School often follows them well beyond their middle school and high school years. Instructional Aide, Coach, Counselor, Mentor and Friend are just a few of the many roles she plays when on the scene.

Unfortunately , the vehicle that Monica has been using for the past 20 years; a vehicle that has allowed Monica to provide rides to children to their games, practices, tournaments, rehearsals, often hauling gear and equipment even to out-of-town events, does not meet smog certification requirements, and can no longer be renewed due to the discontinued parts needed in order to fix the problem. Her registration expires as of February 2016.


Purchasing a vehicle at this time, is not a viable option for Miss Momo, considering that any installment or monthly payment option on a loan would cause too great a financial burden. This also would not allow her to give back as freely as she has been able to the children of CUSD in clothing, food, gifts, and many other unspoken expenses that most instructors are familiar with in educating children.

Would you please bless her with the gift of a new vehicle so that she can further continue to serve our children by helping them achieve their goals and follow their dreams? Any monetary gift you are able to give towards this goal would not only be a tremendous help to Monica, but to our community as well.
