Mobile Computer Classes in Cambodia
Our first project “Mobile Computer Classes” that started in December 2017, has already created a big difference for many kids who have never used a computer before. They love our classes and study diligently. We have also received some amazing feedback from teachers and parents.
We are on target to educate around 300 kids in rural areas in basic computer skills by the end of the year!
We are planning to start our second mobile computer class in January 2019.
Classes will be held in remote areas where majority of the kids have never used a computer before.
The idea is very simple, yet so powerful.
One teacher + one motorbike + few laptops = computer education for more than 300 kids this year!
The teacher travels on a bike to remote areas where kids wouldn't have seen or used a computer before. We started in two locations: Rong Chak (aprox. 20 kilometers away from Kampot) and Chbar Ampov (15 km from Kampot).
You can give access to computer education for another 300 kids every year by supporting this project!

"Wow that is exciting , I love that you don’t only give the computers but teach the kids how to use the computers too. ... They would greatly value to have the support that you are offering. As they would never have the opportunity to ever learn computers and this would help to support their education."
Lynn Johnston, Wellspring Initiative
"Mobile computer classes is a great project, as it will change lives of many students in the rural schools - from not knowing how to use computer at all to being skilled at typing, using Word, Excel, email and the Internet. It will open their eyes to see the world. It's a big problem when they go to the university and have no idea what a computer is and even how to turn on and off a laptop! One of the students took off the light plug when his friend asked him to turn off a desktop computer..."
