RAISING MONEY TO DEVELOP RETAIL SALES business selling recumbent trikes with a focus on the disabled and mobility challenged community on Long Island, NY and surrounding area. We want to increase our inventory and marketing to help more people...get mobile.
BACK STORY
In 2009 I was diagnosed with a serious debilitating illness, MS. From that time my life retreated. I became very sick and unable to work. I began an intense regimen of months and months and years of physical therapy and various alternative treatment options. I got better.
RECUMBENT TRIKES-HOW I GOT MY LIFE BACK:
Last summer I started thinking about how to "get mobile"...again. Then I discovered the world of recumbent trikes. I am so grateful to have found my trike! I have been riding it now for over a year and each day gets more special because I have my freedom again and there is no price to put on that. I have been so profoundly impacted by my “liberation” that I want to help others to have that experience.
YOUR TRIKE SPIRIT!
Last summer I took positive steps to do that. With the support and encouragement of family and friends I set up a small shop and started a business on Long Island selling recumbent trikes. I am happy to report that the shop, named "Your TRIKE SPIRIT" is alive and well and last summer we helped many folks in the area to get more active...and get their mobility back.
I am very proud of the fact that we helped folks like George, who came into the shop after hearing about it from a friend. He was born with a deformed foot, but fell in love with the trikes and found he could pedal without difficulty. He became a proud owner of a trike. In his own words, "I have never felt so free and happy".
George comes around to the shop often and we ride together.
There's also the story of Ron, who was born with one leg slightly shorter than the other, he was on a cane all his life and was stuck. He spent his whole life observing others "living life" when he discovered recumbent triking at our shop he was exstactic, on his first run on his new trike he exclaimed, "I'm free, you opened my prison door and set me free!"
And then there's Lt Hernadez, a wounded veteran from Iraq. Who was able to get good exercise and increase his activity with a recumbent trike that we helped him obtain with help from a Veteran's support organization. One of our proudest moments. Congratulations, Lt Hernandez, and thank you for your service!
MANY SUCCESS STORIES
There have been many more success stories, and we want to reach thousands more, who could have their lives transformed by having the opportunity to get more mobile in 2016.
WE WANT TO DO MORE
My goal is to raise $20,000 over a four month period. This money will be used to cover the cost of further developements to the shop, expanding the existing inventory and supporting marketing and promotional expenses. Through the generosity of family and friends and those who have supported this campaign I have been able to make a good start with my shop and helped many people to acheive greater activity and mobility. I have also, proudly, been able to help some wounded veterans to get more mobile and enhance their quality of life.
It may be IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO KNOW, that no one on our team has recieved a salary thus far. The proceeds of our sales have been reinvested into the shop. We love what we do, helping folks to get mobile and more active. AND WE WANT TO DO MORE. I am ready to take "Your TRIKE SPIRIT" to the next level with your help.
