MN Team James

James has been battling Appendix Cancer with pseudomyxoma peritonei for nearly 8 years. He has had three major surgeries to remove the cancer and one of those included HIPEC, which is heated chemotherapy. He has participated in a year long trial, at MD Anderson, which was not successful. 

On 10/25, James had a routine follow up appointment at a Mayo Clinic, where it was discovered that he has a colorectal tumor that has nearly closed off his colon. In an effort to try to stop any complications, such as a blockage, surgery has been recommended. 

Given the number of prior surgeries, scar tissue is a concern, but his surgeon feels he can work through that and remove the current problematic tumor, along with any other tumors that can be safely removed.  God has blessed James with minimal complications and symptoms over this 8 year journey and that definitely does not go unnoticed.

James will undergo his fourth surgery on 11/26. Your prayers for a successful surgery and for Carlie, Luke and Tara are greatly appreciated. However, if you are so inclined, we have created to this page as James will be unable to work for 6-8 weeks and it will assist with travel, lodging, medical expenses as they enter 2019 and other needs of their family.
