Mitchel Stevenson just qualified for the 2018 CrossFit Games which is held in Madison, Wisconsin from August 1-5. The CrossFit Games is an annual competition where the top 40 men, women, and teams in the world willcompete to earn the title "fittest on earth". It will be broadcasted on CBS sports and streamed live via the internet. Mitch spends his days training, coaching members and will be running the CrossFit kids camp this summer at CrossFit i1uvit.

He punched his ticket last weekend in Del Mar, California  by finishing in the top 5 out of 40 men from all of Western Canada, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, Alaska, Wyoming, and Montana. It's an incredible accomplishment that took a lot of time and hard work. Qualifying for the games in no small task and neither is affording to compete at them.

Mitch and his Coach Kaylee Lovelady, will need to foot the bill for travel, lodging, food, and entry fee to compete at the games. With the demands of the event, coach and athlete will have about 10 days of lodging needed from the time they check in for the games to when they will head home. Our gym, CrossFit i1uvit rallied around him to help him get to Del Mar.  Now we are trying to rally the community with us to help this local Whatcom County kid compete on the big stage in August. Any donation is greatly appreciated, even if its just covering a meal between events (which is huge for Mitch). He would never ask anyone for a dime, he's just not that kind of person. He always is putting others before himself, that is why we are setting this up for him :)
