We spend our lives reading stories of other people’s heartache, the illnesses, the deaths, the tragedies that sweep across our nation. But, nothing can prepare us for the day it lands on our own doorsteps. For the Jones’s, that day came a month ago when a trip to ER turned into a cancer diagnosis.

Mitch and Sandi hadn’t expected their world to be torn apart, but with his inability to work through treatment, and her reduced hours as she takes on the role of primary caregiver, they find themselves at a loss at this time. As is common in these situations, the world doesn’t press pause and life goes on, along with time, and the bills are piling up.

Anyone who knows them, knows they are the first to step up in any situation, doing whatever they can to help out. It devastates them to even consider having to ask others for help during these times, but we, as humans, feel the need to do something, anything we can, to help.
