It’s Time to Lend a Hand!

It’s certainly that time of year again when we must truly lend a hand to our homeless, displaced, and injured immigrants. Every year, these individuals suffer due to a variety of inescapable circumstances that come with living in an unfamiliar country.

That’s why Insignia SEO , has partnered with Casa Marianella , a homeless shelter for displaced immigrants, to promote our annual fundraising event, Missions Giving!

The objective of Missions Giving is to raise $10,000 by Thanksgiving Day to help Casa Marianella house and support homeless immigrants during the holiday season. These immigrants are asylum-seeking refugees and displaced injured people that need basic food and shelter.

By donating to this cause, you can help them obtain basic living necessities in order for them to enjoy the upcoming holiday months.

Missions Giving is a special cause that will show the benevolence that businesses, shelters, and our community can bestow upon those less fortunate than us, showcasing a divine display of humanity this holiday season.

Why?

The topic of immigrants in the United States has become a hot-button issue. However, we believe that this takes away the country’s attention from the true and self-evident afflictions that plague thousands of our country’s immigrants who have traveled to the United States for asylum and better opportunities.

Upon landing in the U.S., a harsh rude awakening befalls on most immigrants. Unfortunately, homelessness and poverty take over afterward, and most people don’t realize the miserable situations these immigrants experience on a daily basis.

In fact, most Americans don’t realize that a small donation can improve the condition of thousands of immigrants that are homeless, injured, and displaced in Austin and across the country.

Insignia SEO's co-founder and marketing director Rolando Hererra, the son of immigrant parents, believes that this fundraiser can positively impact the lives of countless immigrants in the Austin community.

“As the child of immigrant parents, I experienced the difficulty of making ends meet first-hand in my childhood. That’s why I felt an instant connection with Casa Marianella and their mission to improve the lives of destitute immigrants through shelter and support services to make sure they are not forgotten during the holiday season”

Insignia SEO and Casa Marianella have already made a solemn pledge to host this fundraiser for the benefit of immigrants in the Austin area. Why don’t you help us fulfill this pledge and obligation to our fellow brothers and sisters?

When?

The deadline of the Missions Giving fundraiser is Thanksgiving: November 22, 2018. Our goal is to raise the necessary funds to make this season special for the homeless immigrants in Austin, Texas.

Casa Marianella director Jennifer Long believes that this fundraiser can have a special impact on the lives of Austin’s poverty-stricken immigrants that are profoundly greater than the monetary amount raised.

“The Missions Giving fundraiser is much more than a campaign to raise money for our community’s homeless immigrants. We decided to undergo this cause to show these people that they have not been forgotten and that there are caring people in the community that want to uplift their spirits. That’s why we’re extremely grateful for this fundraiser to show these people how an entire community can mobilize together on their behalf.”

In particular, Thanksgiving is a family-oriented holiday that’s beloved and celebrated by millions of Americans. Likewise, Christmas is a day where families can embrace giving to others.
We believe that it’s a perfect idea to launch this fundraiser in the holiday season to give poor immigrants the chance to celebrate these holidays with their families, without worrying about their struggles.

What?

Although the topic of struggling immigrants has been kept under wraps by the mainstream media for decades, Casa Marianella has been promoting self-sufficiency in immigrants by providing support services and shelter since 1986. For over 30 years, we have made it our mission to make the lives of these people better by enlisting the help of religious leaders, businesses, and people like you to increase the potency of our cause.

Not only do we provide housing and other basic necessities for immigrants, but we offer access to various medical and legal resources. We also take pride in conducting enhanced English classes to help immigrants lead a better life as citizens of the United States.

Our shelters have effectively served as asylums for immigrant families escaping cultural and domestic violence over the years. We are fully operated by a team of devoted volunteers, and we are entirely subsidized by a wealth of well-known organizations such as the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas, American Gateways, CommUnityCare Health Centers, Episcopal Service Corps, Jesuit Volunteer Corps, Keep Austin Housed, Raices, Refugees Services of Texas, and Workers Defense Project, and so many more organizations in Texas.

With your donation, we are confident we can improve the lives of countless other homeless immigrants through Missions Giving.
