Miranda's Artistic Future Campaign

Hey there! My name is Miranda, and I am a self-taught artist from Chicago. Creating art has been my passion for over 20 years, and like most 20-somethings, I'm trying to make a name for myself! Being an artist, you don't make a lot of money, which is why I'm asking for help. That being said, it still doesn't stop me from pushing forward in pursuit of making my dreams come true!

I taught myself in the realm of traditional art- meaning pencil to paper. Throughout high school I stubbornly clung to traditional art- refusing to accept that digital art was making huge progress in the art world. Fast forward 10 years to today and digital media has entirely taken over our society, and traditional art has become 'old fashioned' in the design world. (I'ts much easier to change the color of a characters shirt in Photoshop vs. having to redraw the entire character traditionally.) I would be able to work on a professional portfolio and get a real job working in the field I love if I had a digital tablet for drawing.

I have created this campaign to raise money so I can afford to purchase a digital tablet that will allow me to draw directly onto Photoshop so I may hone my skills further as an artist. The tablet is the Wacom Cintiq Pro tablet. I've had my eyes on it for almost 10 years, and I STILL believe this is my golden ticket to a better life. You can be my Willy Wonka. I am forever grateful for anyone even READING this far, let alone making a dontation to my personal cause. Thank you already for your support, just the love is enough to keep me going.

I have included a few photos of my traditional artwork, so you can see what I do. With the right materials, I truly believe achieving my goal would become a possibility. I want to succeed in this ever changing world.
