Youth sports are unquestionably one of the greatest tools a community has to help it's youth develop positive character traits and values. Recognizing this, the Minnesota North Volleyball Club  was formed 10 years ago with the goal of providing the youth of north eastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin opportunities to play the sport of volleyball in a safe, educational environment focusing on teaching the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, perseverance and respect for both the rules of the game and the opponent. 10 years ago we started with one team and 10 players, today we have grown to an organization with over 20 teams, over 250 players and over 40 coaches. Because of our growth we have outgrown our ability to fulfill our mission by holding practices and tournaments at local schools. Consequently, Minnesota North Volleyball Club has re-organized into Minnesota North Sports and has applied to become a
501(c)(3) corporation. We have partnered with two investors to purchase the Arrowhead Tennis and Athletic Center on Rice Lake Road. We hope this facility will allow us to continue to fulfill our mission for many years into the future and possibly expand our mission to other sports as well. Unfortunately, we lack the resources at this time to fully equip this facility with all the equipment needed to safely conduct practices and host volleyball tournaments.

We are now engaging in fundraising to purchase equipment such as sport courts, flooring, nets, standards and bleachers and hope to raise $175,000 to buy these. That's where you come in. We are hopeful that like us, you recognize how important participation in youth sports is, both to the participant and the community and will consider making a tax-deductible contribution to this effort. Thank you so much for your consideration of our cause.
