Military veteran's bid to cycle to the USA

My name is John Duffy and I have served in the United States Air Force for the past 22 years. In the summer of 2019, as I retire from military service, I plan to return home to the USA and my family by cycling from Europe all the way back to the USA solo and unsupported.
Over the large distances involved, multiple ferries, an airline flight, and costly freight shipping will be involved. This is the reason that I ask for your support today. Even a small contribution will help turn this dream into reality.  I have already begun to blog about my preparation and will continue to add details as the trip progresses.
