Purgatory Falls is a three act, post-apocalyptic original rock opera. Runtime about 90 minutes. Our goal is to create an outstanding album to tell the story and eventually see the show on stage. It all started with a short story about a young girl who refuses to buy in to the propaganda of a tyrant, and has to face some very real consequences. We spent two years further developing the story, lyrics, and music. Throughout production the focus will remain good music and story telling.
Armageddon came without warning. It was over equally as fast. A few lost souls were saved and they created Purgatory. In their subterranean world only the most faithful make up The Order. The Order’s rules are strict, their punishments harsh. The most heinous crime is to go against the will of The Order; the punishment, banishment to the hell above. Nikola and Renata love each other and love their daughter Agatha even more. But while Renata has always taught her daughter to believe fully in the faith and respect The Order above all else, Nikola wanted her to be strong willed, to think for herself.
When Agatha refuses to join The Order at her coming-of-age, The Leader, Cyril has no choice but to banish her to Hell. Will she have the courage to stand her ground when she knows society is wrong? Will her teenage rebellion be the end of Purgatory?
