First and foremost, we want to say how much we love and appreciate Mike.

Golf N Gator wouldn't be as beautiful without the time and effort that he puts into every moment of his work. Over the years, he has become a crucial part of our team. Without him maintaining the courses and the landscaping, Golf N Gator just wouldn't be the same.

Recently,  has had an incredible struggle in his cancer journey and it's time for us to do our best to alleviate some of the medical expenses that are accruing for he and his family.

There's a treatment center in Tijuana.
This trip could save his life.

Preacher, Father, Husband, and Friend.
Mike, you have our support.

His wife, Sandy, who has has known for 43 years, was kind enough to share his story with us and what his plans are to beat  this cancer diagnosis.

"Mike was born in New Jersey from parents of Italian and Polish descent.  On his father's Polish side, his bloodline has been noted as Polish Royalty with a Wilk castle in Poland.  On his mother's Italian side, he inherited the quench for Italian food of almost every dish known.

Mike's parents moved out of New Jersey and to Gaithersburg, Maryland where his father worked as a nuclear engineer for most of his career.  They lived in a neighborhood where he grew up with a lot of friends and he spent a great deal of time playing mostly outside with those friends.  He started working when he was about 12 for a pet store which he could walk to.

At around the same time this is where he met Sandy at the local mall which had an ice rink.  More about that later.

His working career had taken him
on many adventures.  From working retail at the pet store to working at Montgomery Wards to NUS as a graphic artist.  He attended University of Maryland where he studied to be an architect.  He found this not to be what he wanted to ultimately do and so he switched gears to graphic arts.  Later on, he went to preaching school at East School of Preaching where he studied for two years.  He graduated from there and went on to preach at various Church of Christ congregations in several states.

His career took a turn and he changed gears again, this time as a manager at
a Dollar General in Missouri.  The hours were long and the pay was not worthy so he decided to go in a more positive direction.  This is when he became gainfully employed with FEMA.  He also found a part-time position as a school driver.  He
enjoyed both of these positions until one day he got an email from Sandy who contacted him after about 30 years of no contact.

Prior to his preaching career, Mike became a father to a wonderful daughter who is now grown and has a family of her own.    During his preaching career, he fathered two more daughters who are also now grown, one has a family and the other is embarking on a career as a counselor to young women in a rehabilitation situation.

At the time Sandy contacted Mike, he had been praying for a change in his
life.  His living situation was not good.  H
e was living in a basement apartment that he found was filled with black mold.  He worked relentlessly to rid the place, but just could not get rid of it.  Since Sandy was living in Florida, where it was warm, and he didn't like the cold, it was obvious to move where the climate was more suitable for him.  Unbeknownst to him at the time, he later realized this is more than likely where his tumor began.

On a side note, Mike and Sandy married in 2009 after being apart for 30 years and have been together ever since!

Mike was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in 2010.  His oncologist told him if he did not get surgery, chemotherapy and radiation he would die
within months.  As a preacher, he watched many people die of this treatment and he did not want that for himself.

Mike began to change his diet and his way of eating.  With the help of his wife Sandy, who already had familiarity of alternative ways of cancer prevention and treatment, they embarked on eating as much organic, whole foods as possible.  This, coupled with herbal supplementation he was able to keep the cancer to a slow growth.  Then, in November/December of 2017, he contracted a cold which lingered for several weeks.  His immune system was broken a
nd the cancer took off.

Since then, the tumor began to grow again and took a bad turn.  Mike has been in pain 24/7 and he sleeps very little.  He was given a series of CD's by Ali entitled The Truth about Cancer.  This is where he learned about the Hoxsey Biomedical Center in Tijuana.  He decided he wanted to be treated by them over and above the other alternative treatments currently being offered.

The Center performs an extensive diagnosis of the person through various testing and then formulates the treatment from there.  They provide B17 laetrile which the FDA banned in the USA.  This treatment has been found to be very successful in killing cancer cells.  The visit takes up to a week and is very costly. "

Both Mike and his wife Sandy are scheduled to travel to the Center for the second week in June 2018.

This is an update on my husband Mike.

He is daily dealing with a tremendous amount of pain and it is just painful to watch him. He continues to work through the pain despite how much he is suffering.

Mike has lost a lot of weight and is experiencing some paralysis on the tumor side of his face. His hearing has suffered as well as his ability to speak and even smile.

The cost of this horrific cancer continues. It includes a very special diet that the Bio Medical Clinic doctors have him on in addition to all of the herbal supplements.

We are scheduled to return to Tijuana, Mexico in October for testing, and hopefully treatments. This is NO vacation by any stretch. The 5 hour flight over is physically taxing as well as having to travel in and out of Mexico with the almost 2 hour wait time on the return (it's only 5 miles from the hotel in San Diego). So we have opted to stay at the Center this time to help with this.

Please know that we extend a very big heartfelt thank you to each one of you that has generously donated. If you could share Mike's story with your social media friends, it would be greatly appreciated. We are close to meeting goal, but it would be better to exceed that goal to help with the additional daily costs as well.

Hugs to all.

Sandy

An update from Mike's wife, Sandy:

In June, we traveled to San Diego so that Mike could have treatment in Tijuana, Mexico.

Mike had blood work done, and other testing. His blood work came out good, except for the portion which identifies the "markers". These are the numbers they use to know how the cancer is doing.

He received IV treatment in the form of Vitamin C and Laetrile from Tuesday through Friday. On Thursday, he was given the protocol to follow for the next several months. Hoxsey tonic, their diet, supplementation and some ointment for the tumor on his neck. This alone was at a cost of $3,000.

We departed San Diego on that Saturday and headed back.

Since our return, Mike's tumor has reduced in size, but the reduction has actually spread to other areas around his face. This has made eating extremely difficult. He is still in a lot of pain 24/7. He is getting no relief at all.

We are scheduled to return to the Hoxsey Clinic in the middle of October for a follow-up visit. The cost of this trip will run another $5,000. We have our airfare booked and the advanced reservation let us save a little which does help. We are also going to be staying in Tijuana during the week to help the cost of transportation in and out of that area. This will also help defer the cost of the hotel which on our first visit cost $900.

It breaks my heart to see him suffering like this. I have hope that this protocol he is on will work, given time and effort. We met some wonderful people while we were at the clinic who were there for follow-up visits who have been totally cured of a lot of cancers.

We greatly appreciate each and every person who has generously donated. Please share this story with others so that we are able to meet and hopefully exceed the goal. Thank you.
