Hurricane Irma Funeral & Damage

Donation protected
We need your help. Trying to raise funds to pay for a funeral for my Dad "Michael Greenwood". On Sunday 9/10 as hurricane Irma was coming through my dad went into Diabetic shock. Due to the storm being so bad, 911 was unable to respond. He did not make the night and passed away due to it. He had nothing as over a year ago he was scammed out of his home and everything he owned. The man who scammed him, sold the house and left state while he was in the hosptiol with a fratured hip. There is a lawyer working on the case to get his home back, but it was still dragging on with no resolve as of yet.

We also had major Hurricane damage to our roof, shed & fence. There is also water damage inside the house. FEMA did declare our county a disaster area (Brevard County, FL), but was denied becasue I have insurance (no help with deductibles).  Seems weird that those that do the right thing and have insurance get screwed, but If I hadn't had insurance, they would have paid for it all. Ass backwards imo.

I do have homeowners insurance, but it has a $4000 deductible. So somehow I need to come up with the money to repair our home and bury my dad. It is just not possible with our current finances due to all the reserved money we had went to pay for my Wifes ongoing cancer treatments.

I am the only child responsible to provide my mom & dads last wishes of having their ashes mixed in an Urn and then placed in a vault together forever.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated

God Bless

(update)
County Coroner refuses to declare his death related to the storm until they get the toxicolgy report in 14 weeks. Even though 911 was called & they couldn't respond due to the storm. Pretty stupid! So no FEMA help with that either. The way the coroner I talked too sounded, its doubtful they ever will. Probally don't wanna have County 911 look bad.

Talked to the Lawyer working on his case to get his home back. Because he didn't posess his home which was a Homestead (exemption) at the time of passing. Once the case is won, the state of Florida will get the House in probate becasue Dad had to be on medicaid due to medicial issues. Seems if you get medicaid between the age of 55-64, its just a loan. They get their money back from the estate. Looks like the scammer won!
