In Memory of Mike Kreft
Mike served in the U.S Army, 173rd Airborne Infantry, in Afghanistan. He was a brave, caring, and loving person. Mike loved being a part of VSU and his Blazer Community. He was the standard of a great man, and we are forever grateful for his service to our country.
PTSD is a real thing, and with this, we hope to not only lay him to rest, but raise awareness for this condition that takes so many of our brave men and women each year.
Thank you so much everyone for your donations. They are much appreciated. Keep the Kreft family in your thoughts and prayers.
I wish I could afford to donate but I'm lucky if I can eat twice in a day. I'm in Pennsylvania so i can't afford to attend his funeral but if we were in rhe same state I would lovingly attend out of full respect. Thank you Mr Kreft for serving & protecting us. Shall you rest in peace & shall your spirit fly high!
I'm so very sorry for your loss and the horrible way this tragic event happened. My heart breaks for the family and especially Mike's brother. My son also served in Afghanistan last year out of Fort Carson and I believe he suffers from PTSD as well. I'm so thankful so many Americans are standing behind you.
I love that people jump in to support our servicemen, and it tears my heart out to read of veteran suicides. It's awesome that this has raised over $11K already. What happens to the money that is over and above the funeral and memorial expenses? I had to handle arrangements for a friend's funeral 5 years ago this May, and $11K would have more than covered it. What plans are in place for the funds?
