Mike Droter's Physical Therapy Fund

Mike suffered from a Complete C1 Spinal Cord Injury in August of 2016. Complete C1 is the worst of all spinal cord injuries and no recovery is expected if you live past it. He was told from the beginning he'd never breath, talk, eat, or move again. Well he's moving, talking, eating and currently working on the breathing! He is our miracle!! He is defying all odds right now and with a spinal cord Injury time is against you. Most of the movement comes back within the first year and after that it's slower and harder. We don't want to slow down this tremendous amount of recovery by not being able to afford it. Kaiser doesn't offer any type of PT for patients on Ventilators so we started to look outside of the hospitals. We found SCI-FIT. They accepted him on the vent, did their evaluation and have amazing plans for him. Mike and I will be getting married March of 2018 and he wants to STAND at the alter with me. SCI-FIT is where he needs to be to get standing and walking again. They offer discounts when paid in full for the year and the more hours per week the hourly rate goes down. Really trying to make this happen for him and have his #1 goal fulfilled
