Mikalah & Mikah - Fire Relief Fund

Donation protected

In the early morning hours of February 23, 2017, Samford pharmacy student Mikalah Coleman's life changed drastically. While doing some late night studying, she heard a popping sound and found that the glass patio door had shattered. Realizing that she was in danger, she hurried to leave her apartment only to find that the apartment complex was on fire. As she attempted to leave, flames burst through her apartment door. Her only means of survival was to jump from a window of her third story apartment. In doing so, she broke her ankle and was admitted to the emergency room.
Mikalah has a two year old son, Mikah, who, fortunately, was not at the apartment at the time of the fire. However, she and Mikah lost everything. The Samford community and students are donating clothing, food, diapers, etc. We are creating a GoFundMe to help them financially in the upcoming months. They will be facing medical bills, relocation costs, and the cost of slowly rebuilding their lives. Please give what you can to help our classmate and friend. It is our duty to come together and be a blessing to others in their time of need. Proverbs 21:26 – "The righteous gives and does not hold back."
