Michelle's Internship Abroad!

Hello All!
My name is Michelle Tran and I’m currently studying Economics and will complete my Business Foundations Certificate this May at the University of Texas at Austin. I recently attended a study abroad fair at UT and stumbled across an internship program to Hong Kong for Summer, 2017. I was told the original deadline had already passed but had been extended for an additional 2 weeks. I took it as a sign and applied right away, doubtful I would make the cut considering how little time was left. But here I am, getting ready to go to Hong Kong!
I will be in Hong Kong for an 8-week business internship beginning June 2nd. My goal is to gain insight into the world of international finance and entrepreneurship. Over the next several weeks I will be interviewing with prospective businesses via Skype. I truly believe that this internship and my experiences will significantly impact my future, and am thrilled with the prospects.
For those of you who do not know me personally, it has always been a dream for me to study and/or intern abroad, and to eventually gain employment in a field that will allow me to travel all over the world. This is a once in a life time opportunity that I am truly grateful for. I plan to immerse myself into the culture, and explore neighboring countries if time permits.
Unfortunately, this internship will be non-paid): The program fee is $6,200 and does NOT include airfare, food, or living expenses. I did, however, receive a Freeman Stipend scholarship for $2,000 (Yay!). I still need to raise $4,200 for my program fee PLUS additional expenses which is why my target goal is $6500. I am an unemployed full-time student, and am asking for your help!
For a part of my scholarship project, I will be creating visual/video content of my experience abroad. I intend to give everyone who donates a shout out of some sort! (stay tuned on how to follow my adventure!)
THANK YOU so much for your time, consideration and contributions as I prepare for this journey! I am very excited and slightly anxious, but more than ready to learn and gain exposure from this experience. I could not be more appreciative for all of your support and encouragement!
