In behalf of Ellie Sabina:
I haven't had the words and still don't have the words to thank everyone for the abundance of love that my family and I have received after losing My Sunshine, Mickey. It has been through your prayers that God has given us the strength to face each day. We have felt every ounce of those prayers and I ask you to please continue to pray for us to have the strength to keep moving forward. I also have to thank you for the outpouring of support we have had through this time. I need to give special thanks to a group of Angels that have been walking by my side. I don't know what I've done to have been blessed with so many beautiful, loving, caring people that have surrounded me with their arms and have carried me through my first steps. However, the one I need to give the most thanks to is God. God gave me the privilege of being the the mom of such a beautiful soul that was all light and love. He touched everyone he ever met. Never forget to live in the present, for we are on borrowed time. Be like Mickey and continue to radiate love in this world. Love you all so much! Bless Up!

Zaldua was and is a man's man. He was individualistic and driven to achieve his goals. I remember us having plenty of philosophical conversations about God and life and dreams. I knew him for about two years at FIUand I won't forget him, even in that little time he impressed me with his character and I believe he would have been great as a photographer or anything he put his mind to. He had vision and was a leader. I'm proud to call him my friend and I'm sorry to see this day. You have my deepest condolences and you have my prayers as well. RIP Michael Zaldua. Thank you for sharing you great heart with us mate, we love you and will miss you.

Zaldúa was a classmate, fellow photographer and a great friend of mine. He was definitely wise beyond his years. He is and will always be a beautiful soul. I was devastated and in disbelief with the news, and more heartbroken knowing that his family are suffering so much. But his legacy will live on. I send his family my condolences and lots of love and prayers. He will never be forgotten. Rest in paradise, dear friend.
