Michael Contreras Spinal Rehab
Donation protected
Michael Contreras is in need of support for a flight to Craig Hospital near Denver, Colorado for rehabilitation after having sustained a major spinal cord injury.
Right now Mike is recovering in an intensive care unit in Las Vegas, NV. At this point, Mike does not have function of his legs and only has limited function of his arms. Though he and his family continue to pray for improvement, Mike is preparing for life as a paraplegic. He will need much support from a variety of medical professionals and costly medical equipment in addition to support from his family, friends, and community.
Mike has chosen Craig Hospital because it is a world-renown rehabilitation center than specializes in and only works with those who have sustained spinal injuries and traumatic brain injuries. In addition to a flight to Denver, which may cost upwards of $18,000 out-of-pocket, there will be considerable cost to him and his children as they prepare for his new lifestyle as a modified paraplegic.
Mike Contreras just retired in April from the Arizona Department of Highway Patrol, having served the community for more than three decades.
Now, we are asking the community to please consider helping this man who finds himself in a very unfortunate situation. If you are unable to support, continued prayers are needed for his recovery.
Thank you,
The Family of Michael Contreras
