Miam Bakery

I became Vegan a little over a year ago when I signed up to Veganuary and I haven't looked back since, it's become such an important part of my life.

One of the first things I worried about that January was cake! Was I going to have to give up cake and more importantly did I have to give up my love of baking?
The answer was no, with a lot of experimentation and research I discovered the joy of Vegan baking and I quickly realised it was what I wanted to do with my life.

The other important thing to me after going Vegan was meeting other Vegans, I knew that I needed to immerse myself with like minded people. I didn't expect to find such a large, growing group of awesome Vegans in Cork but I'm so glad that I did. I threw myself into the Vegan community in my first few months, organising Vegan dinners and other meetups. I always brought cake along and it was from those meetups and conversations of encouragement that Miam was born.

Veganism and baking are my two passions in life and making great cake is my way of promoting and giving back to the vegan community and I want to prove that Vegan food is delicious and there is no compromiskng on taste.
It is my dream to open a fully Vegan bakery in Cork City
