Hello my name is Asia Harrison. I am not only a rising senior but am also an aspiring Pediatric Psychiatrist. I have been chosen to represent my school as well as the state of Maryland at The Congress of Future Medical Leaders Conference in Boston, Massachusetts.
This is a two day conference where I will have the honor of recieving the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists Award of Excellence. I will also have the privilege of meeting various winners of the Nobel Prize, award winning youth inventors and scientists, prominent medical school deans, leaders in medicine, and medical futurists. I will also have the opportunity to view an actual surgery!
In order for me to be able to attend this rewarding event, I will need your help ASAP. As said previously, I am a high school student so I do not have an income that will allow me to pay for this event. My family has gone through troubling times due to my father having a massive heart attack which has put us in a very tight financial situation. Therefor, I am wholeheartedly asking for your help in making this dream a reality.
I've always known that I wanted to be a pediatrician. I just recently narrowed down my area of focus to Pediatric Psychiatry. Helping children means the world to me. I feel as though a child's life is like a precious artifact, you can have a million different types of artifacts but you will never replace that one because there is none like it.
Please find it in your heart to donate as soon as possible so I am able to reserve my seat in the conference. God has blessed me with this opportunity and it means more to my than you could ever imagine for me to be able to attend this event.
