Emergency shelter for refugees in Greece

Some of you know that back in 2017 and 2018 I was working on the ground with refugees in Greece, Serbia and Germany.
My work never stopped. I am in contact with these guys today, helping to provide naturo medicine supplies and naturo therapy for those traumatised. I saw the brutalities of terrorist first hand. I also saw non independent charities and NGO's turns blind eye to atrocities. The situation is beyond repair. there needs to be a new way. Whilst that new system is being created Afghan women, children and families need shelter in Greece urgently. I work with Generation outside of Afghanistan organisation and they sent me the message below .

What we need urgently:
We need to raise £700 per month to provide shelter for 5 families. In the long term, we want to have our own Guesthouse for refugees from Afghanistan in Greece, which will provide all medical and psychosocial services.
For woman living on the streets in Greece with small children, a month's accommodation and support can literally be the difference between life and death.
For a young man who left Afghanistan because there was no choice (for most the situations is join a rebel group or faces public torture, humiliation and even death). The basic human needs of a bed and a shower allows one to have hope again, after many weeks facing danger and imprisonment to find a better life.
It costs around £90 /month to provide a room. However much or little you are able to donate, every single penny/cent will be used to help refugees from Afghanistan who have no choice but to rely on the kindness of strangers. Little do they want to but having been neglected by the Greek authorities they must put their pride to onside and accept help to take their first steps towards a better future.
Every person we help off the streets is a person who has a chance to go on to build a better future for themselves, their children, their family, in Europe and Afghanistan. Please help us give that chance with any donation, however small.
Overview of the current situation
Millions of refugees have left Afghanistan. Whilst many live in hardship in Pakistan and Iran, others try to reach Europe. However we know that many do not make it. For those who reach Greece, many are detained or live in hardship on the islands. A few months ago the Greek authorities decided to remove people from camps once they became recognised as refugees. These individuals and families are then left in limbo alike asylum seekers with vulnerable families who have no way to apply for shelter. There are many women and children who arrive in Greece alone and end up destitute and living on the streets in Athens. WE need to help beyond the authorities. Our whole team are homing at least one family in their small living spaces. Not only providing food and shelter but also support and life skills education.
The situation became more difficult with the entry of Greece’s new Law on International Protection, on 1 January 2020, which has prolonged the maximum length of detention, and removed procedural safeguards.
In addition, some of the accommodation programmes available to provide accommodation for asylum seekers are closing, such as the ‘Filoxenia’ programme. This has meant the eviction of thousands of people.
How you can help us:
We want to provide short term accommodation, for individuals and families in need in Athens. A place to rest, wash, play, come to terms with the journey and try to get a foothold for the next important steps in life. During this time psychotherapists from Real Naturo will be providing psychological support the families. Whilst we will help those who wish to stay in Greece to register, sort out their documents, contact relatives in Europe and plan for their future.
