MEXICO NATIONAL LACROSSE TEAM 2018

The Mexico National Lacrosse team needs your help to cover the costs of attending the FIL World Championships in Netanya, Israel in July 2018. Mexico competed in the FIL World Championships in Denver in 2014, placing 23rd of 49 teams and we are thrilled and honored to again represent our country on the international stage.

Our team needs your help!  Despite being the national team, since lacrosse is not an Olympic sport, the team receives no funding from the Mexican Olympic Committee.  We estimate the total cost to be  ~$90,000 this includes the travel costs and team expenses for 23 players and 5 coaches. The team will travel to Netanya, Israel in July 2018. The FIL World Lacrosse Championships  is from July 12 to July 21. The team is scheduled to arrive in Israel three to four days before the competition begins to train. Thus the team will need to pay for airfare, ground transportation, and hotel accommodations and meals for the entire trip. We are also planning to utilize a portion of the proceeds for FIL participant fees as well as team equipment and gear.

All funds raised on this GoFundMe campaign will be used to defer the team's expenses. Any withdrawls from the campaign will go directly to pay the team's expenses.

The cost per participant is approximately $4000.

Each team member is making whatever contribution they can, but in some instances, the suggested contribution is more than some players can afford.  

As a result, we are asking for your support in sending the Mexico National Lacrosse team to the FIL World Championships in Netanya, Israel in  2018!   No contribution is too small.   We greatly appreciate any help that we can get.
