Los Quetzales Mexican Dance ensemble celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Mexican folklore through live music and dance-based programming. Los Quetzales continue to reach new audiences in the region and throughout the world. Our programming is based on traditional values of civil community and a love for artistic expression, team work, and preservation of the arts, among others.
We need your help to continue bringing the folklore of Mexico to the community of Northern Virginia and the greater DC Metro Area. Your donations will go toward enriching the cultural experience of the greater northern Virginia community and that of the DC Metro area. If you've attended our programs, you have witnessed performances by masters of dance and children who are passionate about the performing arts. The vast majority of our production is done through sheer altruism and volunteership. To bring about a truly authentic cultural and folkloric experience, we like to bring live music by master musicians from the area and abroad. To continue doing that and more, we need your help. Ultimately, every contribution is put to use for the cultural education of our children. Below you can find out more about us. Winners of numerous awards, Los Quetzales Mexican Dance Ensemble is Northern Virginia's premiere folkoric performing arts company. Specializing in Mexican folkloric dance, we take performances to an entirely new level with rich and authentic costume and choreographies--all with the aim of preserving time-honored traditions.
Los Quetzales specializes in arts and education, dance and music performance events that are at once culturally rich and and accessible. Our performances take place throughout the DC Metro Area at theaters, schools, cultural instituions, parks, community fairs, domestic, corporate, and international spaces. With more than 16 years of professional and educational performing experience, we know what it takes to put on an amazing performance event.
The mission of the company is to preserve, promote and present Mexican Folkloric Culture and traditions, through music, arts and dance.
