My name is Harry Nicola, I recently was part of the Victoria Derbyshire show for mesh complications, bringing awareness to all who may be suffering in silence due to polypropylene mesh that is placed in the body for hernia repairs.
There currently is over 500,000 people that have had polypropylene mesh implanted into their body in the UK alone.
I am one of those victims who has been suffering with chronic pain for over 12 years, completely left isolated and abandoned by the system that created this. I've been left to take my health into my own hands, and search the UK and Europe for a surgeon who has experience and is willing to remove this killer material from the body, which was implanted laparoscopically into my groin which is a more complex operation and the need of a very skilled surgeon.
The NHS will not operate on me due to the lack of skills for this risky operation.
For this reason I was left to search privately.
There is only a handful of surgeons in the world and i have found 2 surgeons in Germany and 1 in the UK. The cost for either one will be between £7,000 and £10,000
I've tried to receive funding first for Germany but was declined and was also declined when I found a surgeon in the UK as advised by the funding system.
I would be grateful and very humbled for any help.
