Mentone Playground Project
Mentone Elementary School was built in 1949 and is part of the Redlands Unified School District. Our school was recently awarded a $15,000 KaBOOM grant to enhance our preschool/kindergarten playground. Mentone School and PTO has committed an additional
$ 10,000 towards this enhancement project. However, we are still short the neccesary funds needed to improve our playground. Our school staff is currently involved in several fundraising activites and we are reaching out to you for any additional support you may provide. Research has shown that play is important to healthy brain development. It is through play that children at a very early age engage and interact in the world around them and we are excited to give our students this opportunity.
