Mentality Magazine's Starter Fund

Mentality Magazine is a new mental health magazine at the University of Michigan. We will be openly discussing mental health and aim to make it a priority at this university. Mental health affects everyone, especially college students, and should be taken more seriously. Our goal is to educate the Michigan community about related topics, share stories of fellow Wolverines, and report on relevant news. It is important for everyone to understand what it really means to be affected by certain mental health issues and what it is like to live with them. So many people are afraid of these issues because they do not fully understand them. We aim to change that. We are helping to build a society in which everyone values mental health, feels comfortable talking about it, and is encouraged to get help when needed. 

We will be publishing 2 issues of our magazine throughout the upcoming school year. We want to provide printed copies to the Michigan community for free in an effort to spread awareness, increase understanding, and engage others in the mental health conversation. But in order to provide free copies, we need money! We are starting from the bottom, but we are ambitious and have high hopes for the success of our magazine. All the money we raise will go towards printing costs and other starter costs, such as publicity efforts, that come with starting a new organization.
