Hi all
I'm a loving Aunt desperate to raise some funds that will help my fantastic family.
On Boxing Day in December 2014, our lives were completely turned upside down with what we thought was a simple visit to the hospital.
In what has become a story too well known to too many children and their families, our gorgeous Georgia (my niece), 13 years old at the time, was diagnosed with Glioblastoma cancer tumours. In short Glioblastoma is a cancer of the brain that defies many medical treatments and the limited hopeful trials are still in their infancy.
3 invasive brain surgeries, countless hospital trips, needles, chemotherapy, radiation, different trial chemotherapy, different trials and scouring the world for other trials, second opinions, third and fourth opinions, sickness, nausea, and still the tumours persist with each time being more aggressive then the last. :(
We are trying everything available to us medically including complementary and alternative health, but still we fight the fight...
Georgia amazes us everyday with her bravery. We take so much strength from her smile and try to return the smiles whenever we are with her.
Part of what has seen us through teary days and sleepless nights is our faith. We pray every day for a miracle even when it seems unanswered.
Mum and Dad have often spoken to me about their financial situation and how leaving their daughter at this time is not an option. Not being able to work is taking a serious toll on the family household and finances. Mum and dad have 3 children Dean (18), Georgia (15), and Jason (13) along with a mortgage, household bills and all the accumulating costs incurred with being in hospital.
Many of you who have been touched by similar stories of this horrible disease would appreciate that any time spent together is special and something that gives strength to the family and those around them on the darker days.
That is why I am asking for your help to give my family an opportunity that we are not currently in a place to give.
To help this beautiful family would not only allow the family to spend special moments together, but a last bit of hope in what often feels like a senseless story.

Although I am aiming for $10,000 more than this would take the family through a lot longer. I appreciate every cent and will never truly be able to thank you all.
