Lately it seems as if tragedy is clouding over the community of Immokalee and its surrounding areas, causing indescribable suffering. Unfortunately, this is the case for the family of Juana Rivas Hernandez. On Thursday evening Juana was traveling Northbound on SR 29 when she was struck head on by a drunk driver. Sadly, just 48 hours after impact, Juana succumbed to the complications of her injuries. Juana was a Loving Mother, Grandmother, Sibling and Friend. Her family is left behind trying to make sense of what they feel is robbery of what should have been a long, prosperous life along her side.
During those 48 hours an insurmountable amount of medical debt was incurred and now the family faces the cost of funeral expenses as well. The family understands how difficult it is to stay ahead financially so without pressure or obligation they seek any amount of donations that can be made.
