Memorial of Raelynn Emery Wagers
Donation protected
Raelynn Emery Wagers, the only daughter of Brandon and Ashley Wagers of Lily, KY was delivered at 23 weeks on 5-23-15. Her parents had tried for nearly 10 years to conceive. After her first pregnancy ended in miscarriage in May of 2014, after much greif, they realized this was their gleam of hope that they would be able to conceive again. Short after the 2nd trimester of her 2nd pregnancy was when things started taking a wrong turn. She spent much time in the hospitals while doctors tried to prevent preterm labor. At 21 weeks, she dialated up to 8cm and had to have an emergency cervical cerclage. Due to the severity of her situation, the doctors said the surgery would dramatically decrease the chances of a normal pregnancy if at all in the future. Not even 2 weeks later, Raelynn was eager to see the world that awaited her and arrived at 3:15pm on the 23rd day of May. During her time at the NICU of University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, she had a hard battle, but she was such the little trooper and fought hard for her life. She fought it so hard that all her family and friends were certain that she would make it home. Little did we all know, the Lord had a different plan for Baby Raelynn. She was diagnosed with NEC on 7-1-15 and slipped off to Heaven on 7-3-15 at 8:44pm. As a long time friend of the family, I want Raelynn's parents to be able to have the headstone they want for their baby girl that will be situated on the grounds by their home. Her mother said, "I promised her I would be taking her home, I just didn't think it would be like this. I had full faith that she would make it through." This family is going through a lot already, I don't want them to have to worry about how or when they'll be able to order her memorial stones. So I'm asking everyone, if you can find it in your hearts to please help this family out. No matter how small, anything will help them in this time of need. And if you can't make a donation, could you please just remember this family in your thoughts and prayers as this is a road they may never fully recover from. May God Bless you all!
