Harvey C. Baldwin, 76 was a Marine veteran, a retired steelworker of 32 years from Armco Steel and had recently retired after 15 years as a custodian from the Blue Springs South High School.
Harvey was the oldest of four siblings and was loved by his sisters and children. Harvey loved life, loved to work and loved his family. He was always on the move, whether that was dancing at family functions, the DJ at his class reunion picnic or cutting the grass for family members. He loved people and would help anyone in need. He was loved by many.
Our family is heartbroken by the tragic and sudden loss of our loved one. Harvey was murdered on Friday, June 30, 2017 in his home in Blue Springs, MO by his 21 year old grandson, whom he loved and wouldn’t give up on.
Our family has received an outpouring of love and support. Many have asked, what can they do to support our family during this time. The family has set up a GoFundMe account to help assist in the funeral expenses due to his untimely death.
