On 05/09, our community experienced an unimaginable tragedy. Two families lost their beautiful daughters in a horrific accident. These two girls (Kiara Renteria-Haist and Karly McDonald) were life-long Unalaskans and dearly loved by their community. This town is filled with many people who know and love their families and at this time, we need to come together to support them. This fund will be to off-set the cost of cremation and/or burial costs, transportation of family to and from the island, memorial costs, etc. The funds raised here will be split between the McDonald and Renteria-Haist families. If you feel you would rather donate by check or cash instead of this online platform, we will be setting up an account for the families. Anything helps. Thank you.
