Michael Elphage Funeral Expense

Donation protected
We the children of Michael Elphage are writing this message with a heavy heart. Our wonderful father was called to sleep somewhat unexpectedly on September 30, at the age of 63. Our father was a loving, caring father. He loved his family, and enjoyed playing pranks on the phone, telling jokes, and teasing us all. He was the type of father who extended his hand at any given time, even if he was not feeling well. He loved cars, and worked on them as a mechanic for years. No matter how big or small the job was, or how long it took him, he always completed it to perfection. There would be times we would call him and say “Daddy I hear my car making this sound,” and he would be able to say exactly what the problem was on the vehicle.

Our Dad had a kidney transplant in 2009 and we were told the kidney would last for 5 years. God blessed him with three more of those years with the same kidney. He suffered complications from his kidney disease-high blood pressure and diabetes- but despite his ailments he always made time to attend church. He loved the Lord and always took time to praise him, even on his days when he was not doing as well physically. Dad suffered a heart attack on September 19, but was discharged from the ICU and hospital 4 days later after a successful procedure. He went home feeling much better and praising the Lord for a speedy recovery, but on September 30 God called him to sleep. We were all shaken by the sudden turn of events, and we’re still reeling from his loss.

Our father was divorced and lived alone, without a regular source of income to set aside money for this his passing. As we struggle to cope with his loss and come up with the necessary finances so we can honor his name with a dignified send-off, we are asking for any contribution, big or small, that you can give to help us cover his funeral home costs. We are so grateful for your generosity and our family will never be able to thank you enough. His viewing and funeral will take place on Sunday, October 15 at the Restoration and Praise Center in Bowie MD. We have to pay the funeral home by Saturday, October 14 so we appreciate your timely assistance.

As we pass our appreciation along to you, it would be amiss of us not to urge you to hold your loved ones tight and never forget to tell them each day how much you love them. Pass this along and help spread the word, and know that your love and support is truly a blessing to us his children, Kirk, Michelle, Nicola, Melica, and Michael Jr.
