The Ottawa Senators franchise is dying.
Eugene Melnyk has decided that he would rather tear the team down and sell it for spare parts than admit he can no longer run it effectively.
Sens fans and the city of Ottawa need to step up to save a pillar of this community.
As the media haven't been effective in telling the fans story, we have to do it ourselves.
This money will go towards an awareness campaign to let Eugene Melynk know that we have had enough. We are planning a billboard, a website and open letter from fans, and social advertising. Other activities will be added based on budget.
Any funds raised above and beyond the needs of the campaign will be donated to a local charity.
This campaign is not affiliated with the Ottawa Senators, this is a fan-centric campaign designed to generate awareness of the plight of a team we love.
NOTE: All funds raised will be withdrawn by me and used to fund activities of the campaign. I will secure a financial auditor for full transparency.
