Kurt Cochran Memorial Relief Fund
$83,512 of $50k goal
They were among the first hit by the vehicle on the Westminster bridge. It was their last day of a trip to visit Melissa's parents who are serving as missionaries in the London LDS temple.
Melissa & Kurt are self-employed, having built a recording studio business from the ground up over the last 10 years. During that time they donated their recording and sound skills to the Summerfest celebration in Bountiful, Utah, to local school productions, and many other worthy causes.
Melissa needs funds to help cover her regular monthly expenses and loss of income. This fund is administered by her brother, Clint Payne, who is the family spokesman in this tragedy. He will deliver the funds to her.
Please help by donating! Thank you!
Dana Wells unless you are an actual friend/family member/business associate you won't see the pics set to friends only on both their pages. And there are several per day thruout their final vacation. Here's the deal. Dana is looking to discredit them and he has a history of promoting propaganda cospiracy theories. Pay no attention to Satan incarnate. He seeks to spread lies and promote contention. Pray for him. His heart is filled with ugliness and hatred.
TO ALL THE HATERS: One person on this post (I will NOT place their name here for obvious reasons) stated that this family cannot be too "destitute" to afford a trip to Europe. Let me EDUCATE you. Melissa medical bills just for the recovery process may be well over $250 k and that's just for starters. Toss in the loss of her loving husband and the emotional trauma of GOING to Europe WITH HIM and LEAVING Europe WITHOUT him ALIVE -and getting on through life without him will be an arduous process to say the very least. So dear Keyboard Cowards-PLEASE stay away from gofundme if you are here just to troll with your vicious comments. You all must live very boring lives.
To Dana and Colleen, this family has suffered a significant loss. Your comments are cruel and not something they need to deal with. If you are worried, then leave the site and move on. No real need to push this negativity in the face of loss. You should both be ashamed. I do not know them, but I know that when something so tragic happens the last thing you need is someone pushing negativity at you. Move on and leave the family alone to grieve and say goodbye to a loved one that was taken way too soon.
To the doubters. A family member sent this link to us to share with friends and family. This is a valid gofundme request. Please consider your comments and how it may upset the family. If you are a doubter, stay away. Please, consider other people before yourself in this situation. Hug your loved ones today, you never know what the day may bring. Melissa I can't imagine what you are going through, but know you have support from so many people from around the world. x
How completely silly some of these comments have been. So many people here, myself included either know the victims or their families personally. There are hundreds of news reports listing Kurt and Melissa's names specifically. There are goofballs and nutjobs everywhere...but how completely pointless to come to the gofundme page and make a comment like that. If you have doubts about the validity of the site, there are proper portocols to follow and fraudulent sites are always investigated and taken down. The fact that this site was set up "so quickly" (really, within a day for a woman whose husband died, who will incur incredible costs to get her husband's body home on top of extensive medical bills) is simply a testament to how much this family is loved.
Dana Wells you disgust me! I live in England and unfortunately Mr Cochran has passed away and his wife is badly injured is in hospitalafter the atrocious attack in Westminster, London. Really, if you have nothing better to do than to write such despicable things then I fell so very sorry for you. My thoughts are with Mr and Mrs Cochran's family and friends. And Dana here's a Newspaper clipping or just use a darn search engine - now go away and let these people mourn in peace. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/mar/23/westminster-attack-victim-named-spanish-teacher-aysha-frade
I have been reading the comments that people are leaving and im so sad to see such negative people and their comments regarding this wonderful couple and the tragic event that has forever changed their life and those around them, I know this couple and I wish you all could of known or seen such love they had/have for one another they are soul mates and just knowing how much they love/loved one another, and to see the struggles Mellissa is going through and will be going through without her husband whom she adored and loves so much makes me sad and to read the positive people have said is going to help her, but the negative please stop the rude comments they wont help anyone at all please help her and her heart that must be so sad and give her the strength she needs please
The horrible comments are truly unimaginable. If you did any research the day of the attack (I did a lot since my husband was in London for business as well) and saw any of the raw images from this tragedy there is a clear photo of Melissa on the ground bleeding and being tended to by a bystander. I remember the look of shock and terror on her face and will never forget it. I only needed to see her eyes in the photos above to know it was in fact her. The evil in this world is mind boggling. Shame on those people who have the nerve to write something so hurtful. Prayers to this family.
