Medical Costs for Judy Appel and Alison Bernstein

Earlier this morning, on January 5, 2019, Judy Appel and Alison Bernstein were struck by a vehicle in South Berkeley. These two women are exceptionally strong community leaders, parents, friends, and activists. Judy is currently serving as the Berkeley School Board President and Director of Special Projects for the Jonathan Logan Family Foundation. Alison is an attorney with the Office of the State Public Defender and has previously served as a commissioner with the Berkeley Police Review Commission.

My family first met Judy and Alison through Our Family Coalition and we have been continuously inspired by the work of both women. They have two kids and the expenses to follow this event should be the last thing on either of their minds.
