End Violence Against Sex Workers

$461 of $1,500 goal

Raised by 9 people in 3 months
No person should experience harm or violence, however every day a sex worker experiences violence. One study found that approximately 70% of sex workers internationally have experienced physical violence.

Every year, on December 16th, the world comes together to rally for an end to violence against sex workers. International Day to End Violence against Sex Workers seeks to stand in solidarity with those who have been impacted by violence against sex workers and to remember those that have died because of such violence. The day also takes the time to acknowledge the unique backgrounds of the sex workers who have experienced violence, many of whom are transwomen, women of color, drug users, and immigrants.

The DC Center is holding our 2nd annual event to commemorate International  Day to End Violence against Sex Workers. We invite you to join us in supporting the sex workers who have been impacted by such violence.

Your money will be used to pay for:

Food ~ $500
DJ ~ $200
