Mrs. Dorsey's Kitchen has finally taken flight! Through amazing support from friends and family -- and a few strangers, we have been able to provide specialty grilled cheese sandwiches throughout Brooklyn and the greater New York area.
Our mission is to make the world smaller. MDK has been a place where families and friends meet, fill their bellies and make memories. It’s an experience. One that I learned how to create from MDK’s namesake, my Grandmother.
Ever since MDK opened its doors just 8 months ago, the community has made us feel welcome. We cannot explain how grateful and humbled we are to see our mission take place in real time.
But the hard work does not end there! We are still in the start up stages and as MDK continues to develop as a successful business, we need to ensure sustainability through our food offerings and infrastructure and ensure that we are able to continue bringing great quality sandwiches to great people.
The BREAKDOWN:
New Equipment: $10,000
- 1 Barback fridge, for beverages
- 2 Low Boy refridgerators
- 1 Exhaust system
Marketing: $5,000
- New Signage
- Online advertising, promoting our Off Menu specials, and events
Working Capital: $15,000
- Staff recruitment, allows MDK to hire the best team to provide the best service for all guests consistently
- Pop Up Markets, its time for MDK to hit the streets again, like the old days, but now as a real restaurant
- Catering, we have a one of a kind catering experience that has grown from 75 guests to 500+ guests, with the proper tools we can support this growth.
