Basketball Team & Gymnasium Fund
The Mathematics, Civics and Sciences Charter School of Philadelphia, Inc. (MCSCS) is one of the largest charter schools in the state of Pennsylvania with a population of nearly one thousand students in grades first through twelfth. Our mission is to provide a quality education, preparation for students to enter college and the necessary skills for today’s work force. In the past fourteen years of graduating students, we have a 0% drop out rate, 100% of our seniors graduate, 97-98% attends college, and 2-3% attend trade schools.
The school is committed to advancing students in math and the sciences. However, a major component is our civics curriculum, which produces good citizens through the promotion of caring, character and community service.
We need our community to help us build a new Gymnasium for our growing school and athletic program in particular. Our Girls and Boys Basketball teams have been outstanding. We need a consistent location where they can train, develop and maximize their full potential.
A new gym will help us:
