Bringing my family together again is so important to me. Not but five years ago this wouldn't have been a problem. But it seems like we have all been hit with struggles that are bogging us down. At that time my immediate family all lived in the same area, actually the same city. Things were good as everyone was healthy and happy. The struggle started with my grandmothers diagnosis of chronic lymphatic luikimea, cancer. I had to leave my job as an EMT so that I could help with her care. After she passed about 6 months later it affected my parents relationship Negatively. My mother was devastated by the loss of her mom. And to add to it all my father was laid off.
Within one year of my grandmothers diagnosis, my dad lost his job, my sister moved to Indiana to start fresh, my youngest sister was dealing with health problems from a vaccination she received, and I slipped into a deep depression.
Light came at the end of the tunnel. My dad was offered a job in another state. So my mom left her job, they packed up, sold their home of 25 years and went. Soon after they sold the house my father started to seem strange. He was winded often, and getting a very distended stomach. After my mother took him to the hospital, he was diagnosed with liver failure. Again devistating my mother. They went from there beautiful home, to a 2 bedroom apartment in a rough neighborhood.
So here's the situation today. My mother works full time as a grocery store clerk. Her income is the only source of income coming in Supporting my father and my youngest sister who lives with her. They barely get by and have made so many sacrifice. My oldest sister is living in indiana, goes to school, and works full time. She sometimes can't even afford her electricity bill aND definitely can't afford a plane ticket. I have not seen her in years. I myself live in California. I work full time and try and help support my mother as best I can. But without an education or a car, I find myself working low paying blue collar jobs Located on the local bus route.
My mother means the world to me she is the most important person in my life. I couldn't live without her. But I feel the stress she is under may end up getting her before long. I want her to be happy more than anything I've ever wanted. To bring her, my sisters, and my father together would be so amazing. I am hoping with your help, the people of this amazing planet will help me achieve this.
The money will be spent on lodging, food, and airfare to bring everyone back home to California, even if it's just for a few days. My father doesn't have long, and I worry so much about my mom.
