McMullen's Emergency Fund

I'm starting this on behalf of my little sister and her family. They were robbed of everything they own as they were moving from CA to WA this past weekend. Their story is below!

After serving four years in the US Navy, Tyler, Raigen, and their eight month old son Gunnar were ready to start their new lives back home in Washington State. Tyler had just been hired by a Kennewick Police Department and starts on January 16th.

On the morning of Jan 8th, after a long day of driving, Tyler awoke to find their 16 foot moving truck, trailer, and car were missing from his hotel parking lot.  The car was recovered later that morning with much of its contents gone and several windows smashed in.  The moving truck was found in the afternoon.  Any items that have any value are gone, and the remaining items are most likely damaged. Tyler and Raigen are estimating they have easily lost over $15,000 - 20,000 worth of items.  Also, a safe containing US Savings Bonds, personal, and financial information was stolen.

The McMullens are still unsure if insurance will be covering any of their stolen items.  They are likely going to have to spend more money to get their remaining possibly damaged items and their car shipped to their new residence.

Tyler and Raigen have been blown away by the by the support from family, friends, and the Thin Blue Line. Thanks to the officers at Stockton Police Department, their vehicles were found in just hours. A special thanks goes to Officer Sturdevant, Officer Konoske, Officer Andrade, Community Service Officer Keener, Communications Officer Stagno and anyone else involved in the search and recovery of their vehicles.  Also a big thanks to Lieutenant Debbie Wilson of Washington State Patrol for blasting the information over social media which led to the recovery. Community Service Officer Keener was off duty when she saw the post, and took it upon herself to go search for the moving truck on her on her own time.

Many people have wanted to help and have been encouraging them to start a GoFundMe campaign. Tyler and Raigen are currently living with family until they have enough resources and household items to move into their new residence.

Lets come together to help Tyler, Raigen, and Gunnar start their new lives after such a tragic experience.

Thank you for your service, Tyler! #USA
