Celebrating the Past
The McNairy Central Lady Bobcats have just completed the most successful season in program history.
The Lady Bobcats finished the season with a 31-8 record. The Lady Bobcats won the 14AA District Championship, 7 AA Region Championship, and Sectional Game. The Lady Bobcats were runners up in the AA State Tournament. This was the first time a Lady Bobcat Softball Team had participated in the state tournament. The runner-up finish is only the 2nd ever for a team at MCHS. Coach Mell and her team are proud of the season but want to improve upon this year’s success and bring home the first STATE CHAMPIONSHIP in school history.
Preparing for the Future
As the Lady Bobcat Softball Team is preparing for the next season, future Lady Bobcats are also preparing for the opportunity to play at Lady Bobcat Field.
Lady Bobcat Field is one of the premier high school softball fields in Tennessee. The Lady Bobcats are extremely thankful for all of the past support and volunteers who have helped the program to reach the level it is today.
We Need Your Help
The Lady Bobcats are raising money to build a Lady Bobcat Softball Fieldhouse that would consist of a locker room for the team and inside training facilities. The training facilities would include indoor batting cage(s), strength training equipment, pitching lane(s), and be large enough for fielding drills.
The Lady Bobcats Softball Field House would be a focal point of the MCHS Softball Program. It would be a source of pride for former players, a place to improve the current team, and a destination for future Lady Bobcats.
Opportunities to Give
The Lady Bobcats are hoping to raise enough money to get our field house built before next season. We know this is an aggressive goal, but we believe with the support of our faithful community, our energetic alumni, and the dedicated families currently on the team, this can be accomplished. We had an amazing show of support throughout the post season culminating with a HUGE crowd at the state championship. One gentleman asked a Lady Bobcat Fan, “Is there anyone left in your county?” Please choose to partner with the Lady Bobcat Softball Team and help them achieve their goals.
We hope that between MCHS Alumni, Community Support, and the Current Lady Bobcat Families we can sustain the success of the Lady Bobcat Softball Team . We have identified 4 levels of giving that would be acknowledged both inside and outside of the Lady Bobcat Softball Fieldhouse.
