Ma va' là! - Cycling to Mongolia

€2,000 of €2,000 goal

Raised by 23 people in 7 months
About six years ago we "migrated by bike", from Bologna (Italy) to Avignon (France). Now it's time to get out of the usual and hit the road again: we are gonna spend 12 months on our bikes, from Europe to Asia. The ideal goal we gave ourselves is Mongolia but the destination is not the most important thing: it's the trip itself.

We’d like to meet people and discover new places, but without taking ourselves too seriously, in the end we’re just riding bikes (as Mike Hall, founder of the Transcontinental Race, used to say).

We didn't think about crowdfunding at the beginning, but quite a few people we met wanted to support us and asked us how they could do it. We hadn't even started the trip and we already felt a nice and warm support. That is  great!

So that's why we decided to create this page.

We set a first symbolic goal (and we've already reached it, thanks to you!) and now that we are on the road we thought about aiming to a second goal, also because we've discovered - after the trip started - that our tent has a few design problems that make it not really suitable for winter time. So we are looking for a replacement that will do the job.

We'll keep the campaign open as long as we keep going, no matter if we reach the goal.

All the donations will help us keep travelling, buy food or equipment, find a place to sleep on some nights and fix the bikes if needed.

We'd like to consider the idea of a donation like buying us a hot tea in winter time or a nice dinner somewhere to discover some local specialties... We'll keep sharing stories and pictures of our adventure and you'll be part of it.

We thank you all for your support! It's great to know that you are there, following and helping us!

And yes, we have a website for the trip: mavala.life!

Thank you so much again! Even our second goal has been reached! It's more than we expected so we really wanted to thank again all of you who made a gift to us: it's great to have your support and to know that you are following us! After about 10 days in Tbilisi, today we'll get back on the bikes and tomorrow we will enter Azerbaijan. The adventure goes on! And you are parte of it! Grazie!

Thank you so much! Not even one week and we've already reached our symbolic goal! We are very grateful to all of you!

For those who still want to contribute it's still possible: we'll keep the campaign open during our trip, no matter if we already reached the Goal. We keep pedaling and we think of you! Thanks!
