Support Matthew & Kelli

Donation protected
On Friday afternoon, 42-year old Matthew Clough, Special Education Director at Almond Acres Charter Academy (AACA), suffered a heart attack on campus. He was transported by paramedics from San Miguel to French Hospital in SLO for initial assessment and treatment, but a blood clot in his system caused a subsequent stroke. He was air lifted to Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara where specialists could further address his condition. His wife, Kelli, has been by his side and is happy to report that Matthew is resting and responding well to treatment. It is expected that he will remain in Santa Barbara for at least a week and then will be transferred to a rehabilitation facility in Arroyo Grande.

It will be a long road to recovery, so we’ve set up this Go Fund Me campaign to help raise money to cover some of the unexpected expenses they will incur in the coming weeks such as food, gas, hotel stays, medical bills, etc. and allow Matthew and Kelli to focus their attention and energy on healing.

Matthew is well respected and loved by colleagues, parents, and students at AACA. He is a talented musician, an amazing teacher, and one of the kindest people you will ever encounter. We know he has the strength to get through this and will do so with the continued love and support from his family, friends, and the community. Please consider helping this wonderful couple in their time of need.

Thank you!
