On Thursday, May 24th, 2018 we all lost our beloved, Matthew Barber entirely too soon.

Detective Sergeant Matthew Barber is a thirteen-year veteran of the Takoma Park Police Department assigned to the Special Assignment Team. His passing will forever be an open void to this department and all that have been blessed to know him and his infectious laughter.

Matt was an exceptional police officer but is known to all as an amazing Father. Those that know him can attest to the undeniable love and devotion he has for his two beautiful daughters, 7 year old, Kialee and 5 year old, Kora. As a small gesture to Matt and his family we have created this GoFundMe account for his girls. These funds will go towards future educational endeavors and/or any needs they may have.
