Matt Henry Stay Stoked Over Cancer
In September of 2016 after suffering 1 1/2 years with misdiagnosed partial simple seizures, anxiety attacks and unexplainable nervous breakdowns, this Southern California husband, dad, and pastor collapsed one morning in a grand mal seizure while stoking the fireplace with his 2 oldest sons, then ages 4 and 6. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor and sent immediately into surgery. That same month his family finalized the adoption of 2 boys they had been fostering for over 2 years and celebrated the birth of their 6 child, a baby girl.
The brain surgery (craniotomy) was partially successful, but 1 month later the tumor was found to still be there - this time cancerous and inoperable. Matt and Christy have been fighting strong ever since - learning to live with a missing section of his brain (the craniotomy was a lobectomy, meaning part of a brain lobe was removed) and fighting inoperable, incurable cancer, while loving and caring for their young family (6 children currently ages 8,6,5,4,3, and 1) . Help this family of 6 fight his battle with inoperable brain cancer.
