Matt Goede

On January 8th, Matt and fellow racer Blaine Stephenson were injured in a snowmobile crash in Ironwood MI. Matt suffered multiple compound fractures to his femur, lower leg and forearm. He also has a broken knee cap, fractured pelvis, and dislocated elbow. This has shaken our racing family as we're reminded of the dangers we often forget, but we're feeling blessed that his injuries are not more serious.

After the first night, he has undergone 2 surgeries and will need more this week to repair his arm and leg. We're hopeful that he will be tranferred back to MN after these surgeries, but nothing is certain at this point.

We have been overwhelmed with support and many have asked if there's any way they can help. While insurance will cover some of the hospital bills, Matt's recovery time will be extensive and working construction we're unsure when he'll be able to return to work. Over the next several months bills will be piling up, any donation, big or small, will be incredibly appreciated as we try to get Matt back in one piece.
