When I discovered the New Fire, it was not named that way. It was called "Cold Fusion", then it became low energy nuclear reaction (LENR).
When I finished my masters degree in engineering, I wanted to work on something that would make sense to me and the rest of the world.
After long research, even thought it had very bad press, I concluded it was extremely likely this source of energy would be part of our future, so I looked at how can I get involved. It was 2008.
In 2009 a graduate research assistantship was offered to me in Portland State University by John Dash in the Eugene Mallove Laboratory for New Energy Research. I published a thesis and graduated a Master's degree in physics.
2012 was a big year. I founded with five fellows the Martin Fleischmann Memorial Project and since then assume the role of chief scientist.
At the same time of doing research in this field, we are pioneering a new way of publishing scientific findings. It is called Live Open Science. It enable everyone to follow, comment, analyze and contribute to the science we are doing in real time, taking advantage of the Internet.
So far I have been compensated for expenses of the project, putting the money ahead and getting refunds. I do this on my personal time, for free.
Because my main job is at risk, I wish to try other way of funding this activity. Giving a try to crowd funding and eventually kick off an independent lab to make it my main professional position. It is a big challenge, being an independent scientist is difficult, especially in France.
However, at the beginning, it will be mainly focused on complementing my volunteering with MFMP, getting equipment and manufacturing apparatuses.
This research is open, by the people for the people. I am just taking the scientific difficulties to enable everyone to see in real-time the evolution of my research in the filed of LENR. The focus can be followed though this channels, on Twitter and on the main website at quantumheat.org.
As a doer and a giver, retributions to donators and general public will be proportional to the money received.
The reason I do this is because it is currently the most exciting field of scientific research. We use fire since we cook our food, if we can open the New Fire for everyone, the energy balance will be re-established on earth.
